Ron Chapman won the International Gold Medal for Master Pastel Artists

Presented by the International Assoc. of Pastel Societies during awards night at the 2007 IAPS Convention at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Albuquerque, New Mexico on May 12th, 2007.

This prestigious award is given for having won awards in five or more international exhibitions. The International Association of Pastel Societies is a world wide group made up of 57 pastel societies from as far away as Australia, Japan, Russia and France including many groups in the United States. The aim of IAPS is to promote the wonderful art of pastel painting around the globe.

Ron represented the Lone Star Pastel Society of Texas at the the President's Dinner during the convention.
